Baryonic Signature in the Large-scale Clustering of SDSS Quasars

We compute the two-point correlation function (2PCF) of SDSS quasars with particular emphasis on its large-scale (from 10Mpc/h to 1000Mpc/h) behavior. Due to the statistical limitation, we are not able to detect the baryon bump in the 2PCF directly from the current dataset. On the other hand, the zero-crossing scale of the 2PCF around a few hundred Mpc is affected by, and indeed more sensitive to, the baryon density parameter. The resulting constraints on the Omega_b and Omega_CDM assuming the spatially-flat model are in good agreement with the WMAP and BBN results.
